Absolutely. All beginning skaters should learn the benefits of a regular off-ice exercise program and incorporate such exercises in their daily schedule along with on-ice practice sessions.
Skaters can prevent a lot of injuries if they regularly participate in an approved off-ice exercise program that continues throughout their skating career.
